DP1 “Zwerver III” – busy on Borssele OWF!

Our DP1 “Zwerver III” was involved in the cable lay and burial operations on Borssele export cable project.

The vessel was equipped with a Massflow excavation tool and WROV, which were used for the burial and survey operations.

With our Multi Purpose DP-1 support vessel “Zwerver III” we left Gemini Offshore Windfarm project and mobilized the vessel in Ijmuiden to carry out ROV operations (inspection and monitoring) in “Eneco Luchterduinen Offshore Wind Farm”. The vessel is equipped with multibeam survey equipment of Van Oord and ROV spread of ROVOP. The vessel is chartered by Van Oord Offshore Wind Projects.

With our Multifunctional DP-1 support vessel “Zwerver III” we recovered about 16 km “Out of Service Cable” in “Gemini Offshore Wind Farm”. These “OoS cables” had to be removed for the infield cable-lay operations, which will be carried out during the summer season. With our DP-1 support vessel “Zwerver III” we are involved in the construction of “Gemini Offshore Wind farm”. This wind farm will be located approx. 40 NM offshore the Dutch Coast, and will be constructed by Van Oord Offshore Wind Projects. Main activity for us for the coming months will be PLGR (Pre-Lay Grapnel Run) operations over a distance of approx. 275 km over the proposed export cable and infield cable routes. http://geminiwindpark.nl/
