The “Zwerver III” produced a massive BP of 56,8 Tons ahead and 40,8 Tons astern, with a draft of only 2,70 mtr.
Together with a maximum speed of 11,5 knots, the trials were for all parties very successful.
Now we are facing only the “finishing touch” to be ready for the commissioning on 3rd December.
During November and December, vessel will be completely outfitted.
The “Zwerver I” has been chartered through DI-MEDCO JV in Abu Dhabi for a term of 18 months, for their long term project “SARB-Islands” 80 NM offshore Abu Dhabi.
Main activities of the “Zwerver I” are: general dredging assistance, assisting of mooring and towing of 10000 Tons stone barges, anchor handling of 60-80 Tons Box anchors and so on.
After completion of the project in Oman, “Zwerver I” mobilized straight away to Iraq/Kuwait to assist on a pipelay project called “Iraq Crude Oil Export Expansion Phase 1”.
The “Zwerver I” assisted the PLB “Leighton Stealth” with anchor-handling, towage of pipe storage barges, laying of pull-cables through the trench and so on.
Location was situated in shallow waters close in Iraqi waters, close to the border of Kuwait.
